WoW Token Introduced: Play World of Warcraft without paying that real cash money

From the Huffington Post. Gettin’ that cash money, dawg, no more payin’ for the WoW sub with your real world money.

On March 3rd, 2015, Blizzard introduced their next big subscription idea: The World of Warcraft token. It’s main use is to give players game time without paying real money, but the idea goes a bit deeper this time around. If a player is in need of gold, then they can purchase a token for real money using the available in-game store; tokens bought from the in-game store can be sold in the player auction house for gold. The price is set based on supply and demand, per world set of server(Americas, China, Europe, etc.). A player that has gold but lacks cash can then purchase one of these tokens from the auction house. The cash price for these tokens is so far unannounced. Tokens purchased through the Auction will arrive immediately in the mail, and can then be redeemed for game time with no delay.

2011: A Journey Across Azeroth to Light The Bonfires- Part 1

The year is 2011, 4 years ago if the year is still 2015. It is still soon after the release of Cataclysm in the grand update scheme of World of Warcraft updating. At this point i’m still rolling a Dwarf Death Knight, having not yet seen the light of Paladins. The Fire Festival dawns upon the heroes of Azeroth, and I make a critical decision. That i’m going to make the difficult and strange journey to acquire the Violet Proto Drake – earning all the festival achievements in the process – and beginning with the Midsummer Fire Festival. Although flying is now allowed in Azeroth, I’ve always been tough on getting gold, so I can’t fly it. That leans one option- to mount up and walk around the whole world lighting the bonfires. Although there where other requirements for the Midsummer achievement, this was easily the most difficult and time consuming.

Picking favorites

There are 5 races in World of Warcraft that can role as a Paladin; at the beginning, only Humans and Dwarves where available. The advent of the first major expansion – The Burning Crusade, introduced Draenei for the Alliance, and Blood Elves for the Horde. Many years later, Tauren gained the ability to play as a Paladin when the Cataclysm expansion was released. But what is the best race for a Paladin, anyways?

The February 24th/25th Update

On February 24th, Blizzard will be releasing a new content patch for the so far beloved expansion, Warlords of Draenor. Although this update contains a menagerie of features that where promised at launch, the most major is the inclusion of the new Blood Elf models. Although Blizzard promised new and updated character models for all races, the Blood Elves where pushed back about 3 months while everyone else got to laugh, as the once most aesthetically fresh race was now at rock bottom. My own Paladin even shed a few tears, as he had gone from being the most beautiful to the least. Even Tauren looked better! There are also minor things be added in, such as the Heirloom interface and racing at the Darkmoon Faire, but those will be mostly unnoticed when the Blood Elves are once again the top dog playable race in World of Warcraft.

More info on the upcoming patch can be found here, at the official site.
